Behavioral and Cognitive consequences of a unilateral intraventricular
infusion of Thrombin
- Biomedical Research Center
- University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center, Oklahoma City, OK 2000-2001
- A cognitive study with a radial arm maze (RAM) on Rats
- Rats were trained 4 weeks prior to the insertion of a intraventricular
cannula which delivered a four week Micro-osmotic Pump dosage of Thrombin into
the cerebral spinal fluid (CSF) via the Dexter Lateral Ventricle.
- Rats were tested every five days post-surgery to determine retention of
learned task.

Statistical Analysis of Emergency Room Divert Trends
- Saint Anthony’s Hospital, Oklahoma City, 1997-1998
- Internal report created for management.
- Analysis demonstrated the divert utilization in regards to time (day of week,
day of month, time of day, and month), physician (each individual physician,
previous physician), Charge Nurse, and other variables.
Placental Cord Blood Stem Cell Harvesting
- Baptist Women's Center, Oklahoma City, 1994 to 1995
- Performing and instructing medical practitioners on the preparation, capture
techniques,
handling and transportation of stem cell samples from the placental cord blood,
destined
for cyro-storage, as an alternative to bone marrow transplant, AIDS treatment,
or other
applications.
Southwestern Bell Consumer Panel Study
- Southwestern Bell Telephone, Oklahoma City, 1995 to 1997

the
experimental phase, in addition to expert assessment of new communications
technologies
Sleep Disorder Researcher
- Somnodiagnostics & Sleep Diagnostic Services , Oklahoma City, OK, 1993
and 1997
- Conducting investigations and analyzing the etiology of sleep disorders, for
the diagnosis
of Obstructive Sleep Apnea, utilizing advanced computer polysomnographic
equipment,
and subsequent therapeutic titration with continuous positive airway pressure
(CPAP)
device. EEG diagnostics in rural Oklahoma,
Air Traffic Controller Performance Screening Evaluation
- Federal Aviation Administration, Oklahoma City, 1994
- Alterations in performance on a related computer program was recorded, and a
titration
performed to standardize the blood levels of alcohol from an oral
administration,
confirmed by expired air analysis, were collected and the effectiveness of the
computer
program to predict those individuals whose performance was decreased due to the
alcohol.
Clinical Trials of a New Proton Pump Inhibitor
- Oklahoma Digestive Research Institute, Oklahoma City, 1993 - 1994
- Patient with an erosive esophagitis, confirmed by endoscopy examination, and
acid-perfusion test (Bernstein test), due to gastro-esophageal reflux disease
(GERD),
that is not of a neuro-myogenic etiology, excluded by means of esophageal
manometer,
was given omeprazole for 2 weeks, lansoprazole for 2 weeks, and placebo for 2
weeks,
with a 2 week drug holiday between each. At the end of each drug trial patient
was
observed over a 24 hour period in the institute with a nasogastric pH probe
monitor.
Infant Mortality Investigator
- Albert Szent-Gyorgyi Medical University, Department of Forensic Medicine,
1990-1992
- Investigation of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS) cases, and international
epidemiological research conducted in a clinical setting.
Electronic Fertility Research
- SZOTE Women's Clinic, Szeged, Hungary 1990
- Evaluation of the Bioself Fertility Monitor which utilized morning basal
temperature to
predict the ovulation period in fertile and possible infertile female patients.
Trial period
investigated patient compliance with device, ease of use and the accuracy of
the Bioself
in ovulation predictions.
Toxicology Research
- Szeged Medical University, Department of Public Health, Szeged, Hungary
1987-1990

Organization
Toxicology Manual for Developing Nations.
Peptide Synthesis of Various Vasopression (ADH) Analogs
- Szeged Medical University, Department of Chemistry, Szeged, Hungary 1988
- Alteration in the peptide sequence of vasopressin, and insertion of unique
amino acids
into the chain were created in a peptide laboratory.
Alterations of Gastric Fluid in Response to Various Peptides
- University Hospital, Wurtzburg, Germany, 1987
- Subjects had a multiple lumen, multiple length NG catheter inserted. Two
lumens in
stomach and a pH probe, and two lumens in the proximal duodenum near the
papilla of
Vater, confirmed by rotenogen. One catheter was utilized for the instillation
of various
peptides and the other for the extraction of secreted material. Each
investigation lasted a
minimum of 4 hours.
